Big Changes

Hey Everyone,

So much has been going on that I just realized I haven't updated Joey's blog in awhile. As you all know, we recently moved to Knoxville, TN. The move went just fine, but we are still adjusting. Joey has been growing like crazy and he's into everything. Today for example, I bought him 3 new toys, and instead of playing with those, he decided getting into the drawer and removing every single zip lock bag from the box was much more fun : )

He is crawling all over and loves all the space in the new house. He's practicing standing on his own and doing really well. He'll take a few steps while holding on to something, so we think he will be walking fairly soon.

We can't believe his first birthday is just around the corner. How fast time flew by. Here are some recent pictures of him.

Hey... Let Me Have That!

Joey is 8 months old as of yesterday and it's so much fun to watch him. He wants to grab and hold everything in sight. Some of his most favorite things to grab are remote controls, phones, his bowl of food, the coasters on Mimi and Grandpa's coffee table, the list goes on.

He's working hard on learning to crawl. He's almost got it... right now he does this really cute scoot and roll.

He also had his first play date not too long ago, he had so much fun with L2 (Lamont Jr.), but had to learn how to share.

Joey's First Beach Trip

Joey Takes His First Beach Trip!
Joey was a wonderful baby during his first trip to the beach. A great friend of the family let us tag along with her to her beach house and we had a blast. Joey was a little confused by the open waters, he's used to seeing little pools and bathtubs, but he did great. The top left picture was Joey and Jimmy after a long day on the beach, Joey was ready for bed! The picture to the right of that is Mimi, Grandpa, and Joey. The next is of Jimmy and Joey staying cool in the shade. To the right of that is Joey rolling over as we tried to get him ready for the beach... he doesn't stay still these days. And the bottom pic is Joey and Mommy getting ready to walk down to the beach.

Joey Rolls Over!

Joey rolled over at the beginning of July and hasn't stopped since. As you can see, he is very proud.

So much going on...

Joey was very busy in the month of June.
He started eating pureed foods; his favorite so far has been carrots. It's been fun making food for him and he seems to enjoy it. He celebrated Father's Day with his dad. And he was so excited his Grandma & Grandpa Freland, Aunt Ann, & two cousins Matthew & Andrew came to visit. Unfortunately that same weekend he got his first ear infection. It was so sad to see Joe not feeling his best.

In The Life Of Joey- Month 3

This month has been a wonderful month. Time spent with Joey keeps getting better and better. He is becoming so animated and full of life. Such a happy baby. He smiled for the first time on May 2nd, while playing with his daddy.
I had a wonderful 1st Mother's Day, we took Joey swimming for the first time. He absolutely loved it, he even went under the water. It was all smiles that afternoon, not one tear... maybe we have a future swimmer?
Joey was also Baptized this month. It was such a beautiful day! My godfather, Father Joseph Massucci traveled all the way from Dayton, OH. to baptize Joey. Many of you may remember him from our wedding.

Of course Mimi and Grandpa Pokrin, Aunt Jen, my godmother Nancy and her family (husband Dave, beautiful daughters Anna and Katy, and adorable son Will), Joey's godmother Lindsey & godfather Kevin, Sister Dennis, Aunt Diane & Ed, my cousin Mike, his wife Chris and wonderful kids Cassidy and Danny (Cassidy was the flower girl in our wedding), Ronnie Valenti, Sharon Burke (friends since I was 5!), and Jimmy's wonderful business partner Randall Allred.
We all had a great time together celebrating Joey's day, and it was so special seeing our son being baptized and starting his lifelong journey of commitment to The Lord.

April's Events

Just some pictures of Joey from the month of April. We had lots of visitors. Sarah's Aunt Diane, Sarah's college friend "Aunt Amanda", Jimmy's college friend and Joey's godfather "Uncle Kevin". Also some pictures of Mimi and Grandpa.

Sarah made Joey his very own Athletic Republic onesie, so he and his daddy can match. Doesn't he look so cute! He's growing up before our eyes...

Month Two Already!

We were so excited that Lindsey came to visit us from Cincinnati this past weekend. She's been one of my very best friends since 8th grade, that's at least 15 years! How time flies.

Joey was so thrilled to meet his godmother and can't wait to see her again in May. He smiled immediately when he met her.

The adorable outfit he had on was given to him by Lindsey's mother-in-law, Cheri (Lindsey bought him those cute shoes). You can see how he looked liked such a little gentleman.

The other pictures are some fun and cute ones we've taken this month. The one with his "paci" in his mouth was his official 2 month photo. Then the naked booty picture was just before a bath and it was too cute, I couldn't resist getting the camera out. And the other photo was from his first play time on his new play mat. He is really starting to love it and reach for the toys.

Joey has found his hands these days and loves to stare at them so long that he goes cross-eyed. He also loves to chew on them.

He went to the doctors this past week and got his first round of shots. Both Joey and mom cried. I couldn't take seeing my little boy in pain.The doctor said he is growing healthy and strong, weighing in at 12 lbs. I can't believe how fast he's growing!

It was Jimmy's birthday on March 2nd and we wanted to wish him a happy birthday. So when we woke up, we all put birthday hats on.

Joey is already 1 month old!

We can't believe how fast time has gone by, our little guy is already one month old. I have mentioned to several of you how I am one of those people who always seems to be wishing for time to pass, never living in the present. Well all that has suddenly changed and every day passes too quickly. I now wake up hoping that today and every day after is the slowest day of my life... so far I'm still hoping and every day is still flying by.

Joey's first bath...

I'm not doing too well with updating this blog as regularly as I had hoped. But here is a picture of Joey's first bath that we took about 2 weeks ago. Jimmy and I had prepared ourselves for a lot of screaming, we were sure he would hate bath time, but to our surprise he seems to really like it.

On Tuesday, January 26th at 7:40pm our little angel was born. Joseph Lang Freland's delivery went very well and we just feel so blessed to have him in our lives. His little hands, feet, nose, eyes, and ears are all so perfect... he's just amazing.
